Once you get admission in any branch then until and unless you cancel your seat you can't be eligible for spot round conselling... First you have to leave the taken branch then you can get the required branch in spot round counselling.

 In 2018 its nearly 20 - 23 marks for EEE and 30 marks for mechanical. If your gate marks is 8–12 marks more the general cuttoff then surely u will get a seat in Anna University.
