It depends upon the company criteria only that a student from mtech in electrical engineering can sit for placement in a software comapany or not . If the company allows then you can definetely sit for the placement for that particular software company . The college has nothing to do

Placements for Mechanical and Electrical from Dayal bagh Institute is decent,You will get an average salary package of 2.5-3.5 lakhs.

If you are expecting of Google,Mocrosoft,then it is not happening.But as a fresher 2.5-3.5 lakhs is a good start.
