How are the placements of Jalpaiguri and Kalyani Government Engineering colleges in electrical, mechanical or civil branches?

As you have scored 93.13 percentile in Jee mains examination and You haven't  mentioned your category of eligibility. For general category cutoff percentile is 89.75 , for OBC category cutoff is 74.31 percentile, for SC category cutoff is 54.01 percentile and st category cutoff is 44.33 percentile.

You can try at best private colleges that take admission through wbjee like iem, techno , Netaji Subhash engineering college, bp poddar institute of technology, heritage.

You can also try at government colleges like purulia government college, coochbehar government college.

Is in MJPRU Bareilly core like CS/IT/EC is a good option or in BIET jhansi ME/EE is better option plz suggest.

Some of the facts which I like to mention about EC/CS/IT department of MJPRU are:-


Infrastructure is good and facilities are better with proper experimental laboratories and equipments.

Faculty is average , not so good but far better than private institutes.

Syllabus followed is standard and standard authors books

There are some of the EEE core industries :
  • BHEL
  • Schneider
  • Oil and Natural Gas Corporation
  • Siemens
  • Bharat Electronics Limited
  • ABB
  • Wipro
  • General Electric ,etc
So hereby are some of the industries both private in government. So for the Govt industries, vacancies comes frequently, you can apply for that.

Hello aman,

i suggest you Nit jalandhar mechanical is better than punjab engineering college in all terms like placement and also mechanical of course has the best scope in future it can also be called as evergreen branch.

Afterall NIT's are always better than local engineering colleges.

Hii Sid, If we exclude eastern NITs and seeing your rank, you have few options : NIT Goa, NIT Raipur, NIT Patna, NIT Srinagar, NIT Andhra Pradesh. But within these colleges also, chances are less that you will make it. But, I am sure regarding NIT Srinagar as its cut
