i suggest you Nit jalandhar mechanical is better than punjab engineering college in all terms like placement and also mechanical of course has the best scope in future it can also be called as evergreen branch.
Afterall NIT's are always better than local engineering colleges.

iit bhu mechanical is better than iit dhanbad in case of exposure,location and alumni network.
It is also better in terms of crowd and campus infrastructure .
