Will 96.567 percentile be enough to get branches like mechanical or electrical in NIT colleges?

At a percentile of 96.5 , definitely you can aspect a seat in some good NIT.

According to previous cutoff analysis, to get a seat in NIT with Mechanical or Electrical Branch, your JEE Mains rank should be under 30k, (assuming general category).

And, your score is good

49000 rank is sufficient to get electrical or civil in deenbandhu Chhotu ram University of science and technology; Murthal .

According to last year cut offs ; you will easily get admission in dcrust ;mechanical engineering is also possible to get .

No, it is not true that if you have studied  PCMB.
You have all fundamentals covered in PCM.So, there is no need to worry about that.As long as you know the basics of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics you study any Engineering subject.
