Last year cutoff for NTPC was 64.89 wheww as in 2017 the cutoff was 62.84.So you may have a little chance but the paper was a little bit easy this year so final cutoff may vary this year.you can check your all possible PSUs here

1.you can start your b.tech engineering from direct second year-lateral entry
2.otherwise you can start from a scratch(first year)-as a fresher
