If I am getting CS in Nits and Mech or Electrical In IIT Which Is Better Option ?

Sree Student Expert 27th Feb, 2022

Hello aspirant,

You have not mentioned the NIT or IIT name in which you are getting Computer Science Engineering branch and Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering branch respectively. It is difficult to say because some NITs are better than some IITs. Some IITs are better than any other NIT.

If you got Computer Science Engineering branch in NIT which is good and Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering in IIT which is average or recently formed then go for Computer Science Engineering branch in NIT. If you have got Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering branch in top IITs then go for it.

You can predict Colleges you can get for your JEE Mains rank using below mentioned link.

is it advisable to go for diploma and then degree course in electrical engineering

Rajni 4th Apr, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing great....!!

After Diploma in Electrical Engineering, you can go to a job immediately, however, the job will be very low paying, low end and you will get frustrated after a year or two. After the Diploma majority of the students go for an engineering degree. You also get direct entry into the second year of engineering in BE. This is also a very good option and highly recommended to become a graduate engineer instead of remaining just a diploma holder. After you complete your engineering degree, you can get average jobs with average salary packages since the industry today does not give high salaries to fresh graduate engineers.

I hope this information helps you!

All the best:)

I got Electronics and telecommunication and electrical branch at the phase 1 counselling2022. Now if I book my seat by 75000 rs then can I able to give the second phase exam as my wish was to get cse.

Aditya 20th Feb, 2022

Hi aspirant,

If I am not wrong, you must be talking about Kalinga institute of industrial technology. See if you are allotted any seat through the counselling you need to pay a sum of rupees 75000 to confirm your seat provisionally. The term provisional is important as it signifies that it is not locked and you can further update it if you perform better in the next phases of the examination. The amount paid would be adjusted in case you get any upgrade in the further phases of examination.

Please also note that your admission will be confirmed only once you fulfill the minimum percentage criteria set up by institution which is 45 percentage aggregate.

Also you can take back your admission if you are get any other good college and the refunds would be made according to the the rules of UGC.

Hope it helps!

You have  done all the formalities to fill up form u and all your documents have been verified successfully but the preference for your colleges list has not been verified completely. Reason behind this may be  college authority has not fixed up to your choice of colleges so you have to wait for 2/3  days and continuously or regularly nock at the authority to fill up  your choice filling of colleges for admission of 3 years LLB course.
