Electrical Engineering
Dear Aspirant
Thapar has a brand name and it's placement statistics are far better than UPES. But it depends on which branch you are getting. So in your case taking Computer Engineering in UPES is a very better option than Electrical at Thapar, because electrical has a comparatively hectic syllabus and if you want to do coding side by side it would become very difficult for you, so you should go for COE at UPES.
Hope this helps.

Hi, you do not have to sweat over it so much as everyone who enters this field will have a rusty mind when it comes to studies because of big vacation gap. If you wish to prepare yourself for the basics you can find them on YouTube. Basics like differentiation, Integration and Matrices will be there in your first 4 semesters. You do not have to go for GATE level questions just take out your 12th math book and start from there only that much is needed. Your faculty members will guide you anyway. For electrical or electronics you should know some basics of physics that you were taught in 12th. Hope this helps. If you still have doubts please feel free to comment.

Hello aspirant ,
With reference to your above question , NIT Raipur Vs NIT allahabad .... I think that NIT Allahabad is far better than NIT Raipur according to the current year NIRF Rankings and score .
Nit Allahabad is one of the prestigious institutes in UP and its ranking is 8 in top 10 NITs of India WHEREAS NIT Raipur ranks 17 in the list of Top NITs in India .
I think that NIT allahabad is very good and best college for pursuing ee in terms of better placements , huge campus , better academics , admission , best facilities and good activities . So I think that , according to my opinion , you should choose NIT allahabad as it is better colleges than NIT Raipur .
You can check more info for courses , admission , fees and placements about NIT allahabad with the following link below :

Gurukul Kangri is NAAC accredited private university. The fees are comparatively higher for the electrical engineering. The University is really well infrastructured with a huge campus. Placements are not bad, but you need to be at the best to beat the competition.
Refer below for more information,

On the other hand, SLIET longowal unieristy is a government university. So you fees are lesser here in this university. You will be getting higher placement opportunities in this college. But at the same time, the infrastructure will be mediocre.
For more information, refer to the following website below -:

Having said this, it really depends on your personal choice which aspects you want to give priority to and then you can choose accordingly.
Best wishes. Thank you.
