Some of the facts which I like to mention about EC/CS/IT department of MJPRU are:-

Infrastructure is good and facilities are better with proper experimental laboratories and equipments.

Faculty is average , not so good but far better than private institutes.

Syllabus followed is standard and standard authors books

RIT, Kottyam is a good engineering college in Kerala. 

As per the student reviews, placement opportunities are mostly available for computer science and electronics.

Hostel facilities are limited. There are many PGs and hostels nearby.

Faculty is supportive.

Many sports activities, cultural fests and events also happen.

As per you query firstly I wanna say you that SJCE is undoubtedly one of the best colleges in Mysore. The campus is beautiful and is very well maintained. It mainly depends on what branch you take up, but generally all the branches have some exceptionally good

Campus- TKM Kollam is the way to go if you want a good campus life. The campus is huge with beautiful architecture. The infrastructure of the college is also impressive.
