To be honest, most engineers will end up joining IT companies irrespective of their branch. So, this question is largely irrelevant. However, students from ECM have an inherent advantage in terms of coding. Since students from ECM have computer science subjects, they end up doing well in placement
See the thing is that computer and science engg. deal with the science i.e. theory, the algorithm, the programming, creating new software,etc. Where as computer engg.deals with the hardware it's design etc. and electronics engg. is something different which deals with making smaller things much smaller by updating it's design
