The current era is all about technology. Age of machine learning, big data, etc.

My personal opinion - Go for CSE if that is your interest. It is your job to convince your parents and I am sure that you can do it. Evenually, parents want you to be happy

Basically, CSE and ECE are having good placements and your future depends upon your passion. If you're passionate about choosing mechanical, then automatically your future will be good. If you opt me/ce you can have good future in public sector.
