at how much percentile in jee mains I will get electronics and communication in top 5 nit if I am belonging to SC category

Mayank Chowdhary 18th Dec, 2019

Exact cutoffs can't be specified as cutoffs keep changing from year to year, institute to institute depending upon various factors like number of candidates appearing and also the paper difficult level, etc etc. But yes If I were about to give you a mere rough idea then try to get 90 percentile and above in JEE mains to secure electronics and telecommunications branch in the top 5 NITs.

Some rank wise cutoff for NITs EXTC branch are given in the link below...

Best wishes. Thank you.

How many marks have to be score in the GATE 2020 exam to get NIT Surat???? in electronics and communication.

Akram Khan 26th Jan, 2020

Hi,

Nit surat also take admission to engineering postgraduate programs through gate.

It is difficult to predict the exact score of GATE 2020 for admission to  electronics and communication.

However if we look at previous years cutoff of nit surat for communication system the closing was 526 in 2018 and 566 in 2017 for open category.

You can check the previous years  cutoff score https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff-for-svnit-surat

So with previous years cutoff trends you can expect a score around 500 in 2020 as safe score to secure a seat in electronics and communication for a general category candidate.

I have done MSc electronics, for which GATE exams can apply physics or electronics and communication or anything else

Nivesh Pai 4th Dec, 2019
Hello Anita,
Even though you have completed MSc in electronics, you have the option to switch branches if you clear gate and get a college. For example a student who studied mechanical engineering at xyz college can apply for Computer science branch at iit, nit, iiit and other top tier colleges through his gate score. To get admitted in top branches you need to have a high score in gate examination.
