Hello,
I hope you are doing good,
Both the department Information Technologies and Electronics and Communication Engineering are good. Now a days, The IT industries are hiring more than any other sectors. Being a student of ECE you have a good scope of joining in this sector as well.
If you are pursuing a B.Tech. from third tier college then I will recommend to go with IT.

As you completed diploma in electronic and telecommunications engineering after that for admission in direct second year admission of BE In college of Engineering, Pune , you have to participate in the DTE Maharashtra Counselling for admission in dsy B.E. This process is same like mhtcet Counselling to get admission be or btech first year. 15 percent Seats are reserved for dsy students.
