Hello aspirant!! To pay your institute fee through DD, first of all you need to have a favouring of your institute provide the same to Bank of Baroda to make a DD and then deposit that DD in ICICI Bank. Hope this helps you!!

The hostel fee depends on in which college you get admission in. If you are going to get a government college then it will be a nominal one like under 50000 to 60,000. For a private college, there is a huge variation from 80000 to 100000 or it can be more if the facilities are more i.e., one-seater or two or if it is air-conditioned or not. These are the different criteria for the variation of hostel fees.

Most probably the engineering colleges are supposed to start from mid august if you are talking about IIT'S then they are supposed to commence their academic session for B.TECH First year till august 2nd week. While similar is for NIT'S. All the government colleges plan their academic schedule as per the official counselling procedure of JEE MAIN & JEE ADVANCED. private colleges schedules vary a little.

Nothing is this world is tough if you are genuinely interested in doing that. I am an engineer by education and i have experienced that being an electronics enthusiast mechanical branch is tough for me and same way for an mechanical person electronics can be tough and boring. 

If you are aspiring to be an engineer and like other students you are also getting brain washed then i would suggest you something. Just explore all the branches of engineering on internet and try to find out what actually engineering is branch wise. You must be very clear about your coming four years of engineering and what will you be supposed to do as an engineer after 4 years. Will you like that work. Just ask these questions to yourself and if you find it interesting then it will be fun for you.
