Let me clear your doubt. If you want to be a software engineer then first qualify iit jee exam or other state exam to take admission in engineering college. Qualify with high rank so that you can get computer science engineering or information technology branch in college.study four year with full determination. Learn programming and data structure. Build software, do internship in college and finally in final year you will get placement or go for  companies which provide job in these sector.

As you are mentioned that you qualified Gate so yes you are eligible  to get stipend. But there are other group or category in which AICTE does not allow fellowship then they are not able to get scholarship and stipend.

Since you didn't mentioned abuout which state you are particularly talking about, i mentioning you the details of the UP polytechnic exam. If you have query releated to another state kindly mention it in the comment section.

The UP polytechnic is a state level entrance examination conducted by Joint Entrance Examination council, Uttar Pradesh.

The tentative date for the online application forn for UP polytechnic will be released by the fourth week of December 2019 and the exam would be conducted in the 4th week of April 2020. Interested candidates can fill the application form online through UP polytechnic official website.

Well as far as I know then the values olfor electrode potential of calomel electrode are as follows,

1. Ecal (saturated with KCl)= +0.242V

2. E°cal = +0.27

3. Ecal (1M KCl solution) = +0.283

These are some of the values given for a calomel electrode and it's potential.

I would like to inform you that TFW is only valid for counselling rounds conducted officially by the board and if you opt for spot round and you have already taken admission, your TFW will be cancelled if you get a seat in CS and you opt for it.
