Engineering Physics
Hello Aspirant
Engineering Physics can be stated as the study of combined discipline of Physics ,Mathematics,Biology,Social Science and Engineering particularly computer, electrical, nuclear etc
Scope of Engineering Physics
In Scope you can pursue pure Physics for your studies or you can also do Mtech in Electrical Engineering or material sciences from IITs
You can get promising jobs in government organization like ISRO,VSCC and National Physics Lab
You can also Get into research and teaching lines
Thanks!
Hello Ashish,
After pursuing engineering in physics, you can opt for the following career field -
Medical Physicist
Physicst researcher
Solid State physics engineer
Nuclear physicst
Astrophysicist
Geophysics engineer
Research and development scientist
Good luck,
Hope it helps :)
After doing engineering physics from IIT if you look upon the jobs in engineering physics field then hardly any company visit specific to engineering physics.
Since many other companies from sectors such as consultancy IT they often hire irrespective of branch so the job opportunities are equal be phit engineering physics or any other branch so there is nothing specific about engineering physics if jobs are concerned.
the other opportunities include if you are genuinely interested in engineering physics then you can go for higher studies for PhD in IIT or some top engineering college abroad.
Hi Aruna.
The cutoff ranks for Engineering physics vary for different IITs. For example-
So yeah, even Engineering Physics has high cutoffs in the top IITs, hence prepare well for JEE Advanced. All the best.
Hi,
Engineering physics is a course which is about specialization in the study of physics and its applications. It is a vigorous study of a concept like semiconductor devices, electromagnetic theromody names. The course is a combination of the theoretical concept and application of the theory part.
The scope the physics engineering are -
1. Industrial engineering
2. Research scientist
3. Physicists.
4. Financial Analyst
The top colleges for engineering physics
1. It Delhi
2. IIT Madras
3. The neotia college
4. Chandigarh university.
5. BITS Hyderabad.
Hello
I am providing you the previous year's closing cutoff rank for admission to Engineering Physics in IITs for seats reserved for female candidates:
IIT Bombay: 2689 (Last year's cutoff AI rank) IIT Madras: 5839 IIT Delhi: 5946 IIT Roorkee: 7726 IIT Hyderabad: 7819 IIT Guwahati: 10669 IIT Mandi: 14137 Indian Institute of Technology Indian School of Mines Dhanbad: 14991 Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University Varanasi for B.Tech and M.Tech Engineering Physics: 13434
Do let us know if you have any other queries.
Good Luck!
Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 18596 . Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.
