see there is no age limit for doing mtech. you may do mtech from IT discipline or any interdisciplinary subjects like embedded system, data science, artificial intelligence, engineering physics etc.etc.

Candidates with a postgraduate degree or with additional management degree can find work in executive and managerial positions. In the agricultural division, mechanical engineers play a major role by establishing service centers for maintenance of pump sets, tractors, electric motors, oil engines, and other agricultural equipment. Candidates who are interested in research activities can work with many public/private sectors research organizations. Hello dear
Based on the branch you are getting and the previous years cut offs, it is improbable that you will get your preferred branch. Also, you should have filled it in your JoSAA provisional seat allotment list, so that if in case you have chance, you may get it.
The other way possible is that you take up Engineering physics and then try for a branch change. The criteria for branch change varies from college to college. But the basic necessity being getting a high pointer, and also the vacancy in the desired branch. So, study hard in your first year and try to achieve your preferred branch.
I hope this helps you. Feel free to ask any other queries. All the best!!
