Engineering Physics
If you are really interested in Engineering Physics or doing research in that field then it is very good option. In Engineering Physics you basically have to study the topics which you study in general physics like quantum is the most important of all and like that only ther topics are also there.
See placements are also good in this course , but mostly people go for phd and research programs in US or Germany etc.
So you have both options.
Thank you.
If you are passionate about engineering physics , then only you are going for IIT Delhi. See if you talk about placements then it is no less than core jobs. Companies visit exclusively for Engineering Physics just like google visiting for CS students.
So only one thing is required , you should be maintaining your grad i.e. CG. The better your cg is more the chances of getting placements as rest the IIT tag does.
You also have another option going for higher studies in USA or GERMANY.
Hope it helps.
Thank You.
Hello aspirant,
Engineering physics is a bachelor course that deals with the study of many various disciplines of mathematics, engineering and theoretical physics, indeed one of the engineering program that has the most content in the form of theory. The need of engineering physics is to lessen the gap between applied engineering and theoretical science. It offers an enormous figure of program in basic science and also has many applications-oriented core engineering programs, hence making it different from absolute sciences as well.
Hope, it helps you.
Hii Sahil,
The placements for graduates in Engineering physics in IIT Guwahati are really good.Engineering Physics is an enormous branch.About 75% students get placed every year. The average package given is around 15 lakhs p.a.
Go through the link below to find out more about the placements in IIT Guwahati:

Hope this helps!!
Hello Suman!
According to previous year opening and closing rank given in the josaa website it is very difficult for you to get admission in IIT Roorkee(Mechanical Engineering) based on your rank.
You can also check yourself in the website
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/OpeningClosingRankArchieveN.aspx?Year=2018
Hope it answer your concerns.
Firstly, brother congratulations for your decent performance in JEE advanced.
With this rank you can easily get the above two branches in any college except IITB.
Well, it depends at oyur interest.
If you interested to explore the working of the industry and believes in improving that than Production engineering is your branch
If you like IIT physincs and have passion regarding research development in physics than Engineering physics is your branch
Thank You
Dear Aspirant,
NIT have integrated bachelors program in physics you if you interested in physics and want to go futher in the field of research then these integrated programs are a real life savers. You get an amazing opportunity to explore every aspect of the subjest . And if you wanna work quick then thus is a good choice . But remeber you can be a core physics student and know about engineering physics but cannot know core physics if you are doing engineering physics . but finally its your choice and you can decide what you awnt to do depending uponwhat you want to become in future
Hello Rishabh,
The college Vs branch is one of the most common question in an aspirants mind. It clearly depends on which branch you are more interested in. As IIT M as well as BITS Pilani both are two of the best colleges in India. While Engineering Physics is more of a research oriented branch, CSE is job oriented. The purpose of your engineering and your interest are the only thing which should be deciding your college now. With engineering physics you would be getting deep knowledge of physics as well as accumen for engineering practices. You might be writing scientific papers in physics. In CSE, you will be getting a lot of opportunities in the booming software sector of India and might learn about machine learning and AI better than other branches.
Still, if you are doing engineering for jobs, you should do BITS Pilani CSE as it's avg package is 22L which is a great package to start with.
sorry i was asking about 2019...by mistake i typed 2019
