I have 29 rank in EWS CATEGORY IN DU JAT ENTERANCE 2020 WHICH COLLEGE I WILL GET

theeanonymous 24th Oct, 2020

Hello Vivek ,

Congrats on securing such a good rank . The EWS category was introduced only recently so not exact cutoff information is available on that . But what is known for sure is that EWS category seats are very limited so one needs to have a really good rank to stand a chances to get through this category. You have secured 29th rank and I think you can easily get all top colleges like Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies-[SSCBS] ,Deen Dayal Upadhyay ,Keshav MahaVidayalay etc . Remember the admission chance also depends on the  number of seats available and number of applicants .You have pretty high category rank so nothing to worry.

I got 68.5% and 44690rank in jee mains on EWS category . can I participate in josaa counseiling

sheemaashraf123 10th Dec, 2021
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

Hello sir...I got 549 marks with AIR-49347 and EWS category rank-6144...is there any chance to get government medical clg from Maharashtra state?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 24th Oct, 2020

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks/rank for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , tou ghness level of the examination etc.

But yes when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 549 marks  being from ews,  you have  chances  for seat in following two Government Medical College  under Maharashtra state quota which are listed below :-

  • Government Medical College, Gondia

  • Government Medical College, Chandrapur

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data  but  cutoff keeps changing every year due to many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in which you have chances and
to get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at
