i got 540 marks in neet from general EWs category .Are there chances for government college?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 18th Oct, 2020

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 540 marks
you hold low chance to get a seat in Government Medical College.

For example,
in neet  2019, 575 marks for ews category was the lowest marks to get a seat in  government medical college    under UP state quota and it was for Autonomous Medical College, Basti

You have chances for govt quota  seats   in private medical college and deemed universities with your marks

To get the list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou

mCan I get any government college with neet marks 573. Belong EWS category rank 4137 and Air 34019

rajeevanand843 18th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant

As you might have an idea that this year cut off gone rise 30-40 marks above then previous year as topper Mark is itself 19 marks above then previous year. As this year neet ranks has rise very much at this high score too. By counting all this factor there are almost no any chance that you will grab a government college seat in up in EWS category or through AIQ COUNSELING. Lowest cut off EWS category in up 85% state quota last year was for

Autonomous Medical College, Bahraich- AIR 14731 (575 MARKS)

if you are looking for private colleges at low fees then you can try in states like Karnataka and Kerala there you have better chances of you getting a seat there.

You can check Last year cutoff marks of different colleges in up from the link below

I got 75 marks out of 300 under EWS category home state Telangana which rank would i get. and which college would i get and the course

Anurag Khanna 8th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the marks you have mentioned in the question your expected percentile and rank will be in the range of 91.8-92 and 73527-85677 respectively. On the basis of this rank you cannot get any of the NITs even with this category as per previous year's cut-offs but yes you might be qualified for JEE-Advance because last year for EWS category cut-off was about 84 percentile and you have around 92. You can try for some private colleges or some state government colleges which take admission on the JEE-Main score.

You can also predict the colleges using JEE-Main College Predictor :-

I hope this information helps you.

rehan18alam Student Expert 8th Sep, 2020
Dear Aspirant,
Percentile is a relative calculation based on your marks, and the marks of the rest of the students. The latter part also depends upon the difficulty of the exam, so we can not exactly predict the percentile, but will give you an idea about your percentile based on the previous year percentile-score relationships:-

Your expected percentile will be 50-60.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

I have scored 262 marks in neet2020 and i belong to EWS category with MKB quota and RURAL with HK region can i have any chances in BAMS colleges in KARNATAKA

Apoorva Student Expert 18th Oct, 2020

Hello dear student,

The marks that you have obtained are really less. so it will be difficult for you to get admission into any of the government medical colleges or even in government dental colleges. The chances of you to get admission under management quota seats are also nil because of the low marks as this year cutoff have increased enormously high . To get admission in other courses is also difficult.

Thank you

Moreover, with low marks the range also widens for the percentile, at your score you can expect a percentile between 33 to 49.

Your rank will be more than 5 lakh.

i scored 529 marks in neet 2020 from ews category will i get any top bams college through All india councelling??

jui basak 18th Oct, 2020

Congratulations for your result.

As per your marks you can get prestigious college of BAMS in Maharashtra. Moreover, this year cut off has increased than the other year. It's quite difficult to predict chances. You may get chances in

  • Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital , Nanded , Maharashtra
  • Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune

Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. This year all India quota the cutoffs may be higher than the other years, that is why any score less than 590 or 600 out of 720 is less. For Dental also, you have to get at least 550 marks in Neet if you are a general category student.

You can visit the college predictor link-

According to the marks you have mentioned in the question your percentile would lues in the range of 71.1-71.3 and your rank will be lying between 264233-304383. On the basis of this rank you cannot qualify for JEE-Advance as per previous year's cut-offs even with EWS reservation.
