Question : Directions: Select the set in which the numbers are related in the same way as the numbers of the given sets.
(NOTE: Operations should be performed on the whole numbers, without breaking down the numbers into their constituent digits. E.g. 13 - operations on 13 such as adding/subtracting /multiplying etc. to 13 can be performed. Breaking down 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.)
(38, 29, 67)
(43, 36, 79)

Option 1: (51, 39, 70)

Option 2: (59, 28, 77)

Option 3: (47, 35, 82)

Option 4: (34, 47, 83)

Correct Answer: (47, 35, 82)

Solution : Given:
(38, 29, 67); (43, 36, 79)

The pattern is as follows –
(38, 29, 67)→38 + 29 = 67
(43, 36, 79)→43 + 36 = 79
Now, let's check the options –
First option: (51, 39, 70)→51 + 39 = 90 ≠ 70
Second option: (59, 28, 77)→59 + 28 = 87 ≠ 77
Third option: (47, 35, 82)→47 + 35 = 82
Fourth option: (34, 47, 83)→34 + 47 = 81 ≠ 83

So, only the third option follows the same pattern as followed by the given set of numbers. Hence, the third option is correct.

I have previously given NET JRF in June 2023 under EWS category and qualified both. But I do not have EWS certificate. Nor can I avail it anymore as I have crossed the EWS slab. If I apply for PhD in General category, will my Net certificate under EWS category be valid or not?

Your UGC NET JRF certificate under the EWS category should still be valid for applying to PhD programs in the General category, even though you cannot obtain a new EWS certificate due to exceeding the income slab.

The primary purpose of the NET JRF exam is to assess your eligibility for research fellowship and assistant professorship. The category under which you appeared (EWS) should not affect the validity of your qualification itself.

The UGC NET JRF certificate issued by the NTA recognizes you as having qualified for the exam. This qualification is independent of the EWS category you used during application.

I hope it helps!
