To be eligible for full fee reimbursement through ts eamcet students need to secure 10k or below Rank. Since you have secured 5k rank so you will be eligible but you need to provide ews/ebc certificate as a proof of income. Without provide ews/ebc certificate you won't get fee reimbursement. In case you don't have ews/ebc certificate I will suggest you to make it available as soon as possible, as these certificates will act as a key for many government schemes and scholarships. To apply for the certificate you need to  visit the tahsildar office in your area where you have to submit the application form for certificate with necessary documents attached and then you will be provided with transaction number or application id through which you can track your application status online on MeeSeva portal.

Hope you are doing fine! First of all congratulations for securing such a preferable rank. The eligibility criteria for free seat in ts eamcet includes, students should secure 10k or below Rank irrespective of their catagory with EWS/EBC class. As per your rank you are eligible for fee reimbursement but you should provide a valid ews/ebc certificate with 1L or below income(general candidate), ST/ST (2L or below).

Reserved catagory students get full fee reimbursement even if they secure above 10k rank ( but they should meet the income criteria with valid income proof).

In your case if your family income is 1L or below then you should provide the ews/ebc certificate to be eligible for fee reimbursement. In case if you don't have the certificate then I will suggest you to go to tahsildar office of your region and make it available as soon as possible.

AP EAMCET Web Options Entry step by step procedure 2022 you can enter the options from home or from any internet cafe or from any helpline centre with the help of your filled- in manual option form. You must have already completed certificate verification. Steps to be followed are:

1. Entering the URL through internet apeamcet.nic.in.

2. Generation of password.

3. Option entry

4. Log out

Step 1: Entering the URL through internet double click on apeamcet.nic.in. Make sure that the computer which you are using contains windows 7 operating system internet explorer version 9.0 or above. It is possible to enter options only from such systems having above versions. It is not possible to enter options on net scape navigator, Google Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox.

There is no separate fee reimbursement policy for EWS candidates. Fee reimbursement will be applicable for the students who secured below 10,000 rank in CET exam. And for SC, ST this is not applicable as they can avail fee reimbursement, irrespective of their rank.Full fee reimbursement is applicable for the students of ranks below 10000 and the students above 10000 rank will get INR of 35000/- fee reimbursement & Remaining amount should be paid by the student only.

fee reimbursement is applicable for OC category students too. The OC category candidates who belong to Economically Weaker Section(EWS) / EBC classes are eligible for fee reimbursement in AP by entering through AP EAMCET i.e through convener quota.

But keep in mind that only local students of Telangana are eligible for fee reimbursement.

so sorry but you are not eligible to get fees reimbursement

As you have applied with obc category and now you want to change it to EWS category so let me tell you that it is not possible once you have successfully completed your application process you cannot change your category .

It is also wrong if you fall into obc category and then you are applying for EWS category. EWS is generally for economically weaker section.

No now you cannot change your category for JOSAA counselling because it is automatically considered as the same that has been mentioned in JEE-Main application form, so now you cannot change it.

With the above mentioned EWS category rank in JEE mains, and looking at the previous year JEE mains cutoff, you have very less and difficult chances of getting any good NITs even with the Home state quota in Andhra Pradesh. The previous year JEE mains EWS category Cutoff for the lowest branch, Biotechnology, was around 6762 which is very low as compared to what your EWS category rank is. Similarly for other NITs the required EWS category rank is around 2k-5k so, with 16K ews rank the chances are very difficult for admissions.

But do not worry as you can get admission in other state level engineering colleges with this rank and category under the state counselling.
