------------------------) number of students that appeared in the exam,
------------------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,
------------------------) toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc.
But yes ,
When we go through previous years trend then,
--------------) With 95.98 percentile
Your ews rank would be roughly around 7.5k

Dear Aspirant,
It is not possible to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam the preferences of the students and the seat matrix of the college.
There are 1300 seats in IISERs reserved for IAT Candidates and about 130 of them are reserved for EWS candidates.
Usually if you have a rank below 500 you have a really good chance of getting into IISERs.
With a category rank of 869, you have a small chance of getting into IISER Behrampur or Tirupati in the last or post allotment rounds. Please keep other options open.
Check out the link below for more details.
IISER cut-off
Hope this helps.
It is quite hard to predict the exact rank for the admission situation as it depends on a lot of factors like the number of students attempting the exam, the preferences of the students and the seat matrix of the college.
There are about 1300 seats reserved for IAT Candidates and about 10 percent of the seats are reserved for EWS candidates.
So, there 130 seats for EWS candidates. Going by this trend
1. You'll definitely get into IISERs if your category rank is below 130
2. You have a really good chance If your category rank is below 250
3. You have a decent chance if your category rank is below 500
4. You have a small chance of your category rank is below 1000
IISERs don't release any official cutoff details hence these are based on previous year data given by students and the the experience.
The exact admission situation depends on a number of unpredictable factors like the preferences of students, the number of students willing to take admission and the seat matrix of the college.
There are about 1300 seats for candidates entering via IAT and about 130 seats are reserved for EWS candidates
Looking at this data we can say that you have a decent chance of getting into Tirupati, Berhampur and a small chance of getting into TVM, Mohali campus.
Kolkata is one of the most preferred campuses and hence it is quite difficult to get into IISER Kolkata.
Please check the link below for more details.
Hope this helps
Hello,
Sorry to say but you can't change your category from General to General EWS rank . In your score card you would have got your general all india rank. If you wanted to apply for EWS category then you should have applied in the application form itself.
Only there it was possible if you have opted there for EWS category then now you would have got your EWS rank provided if you had cleared the cut off.
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing absolutely great.
