in which which nit colages ews reservation is allowed in karnataka and Maharashtra and andhra

ARYAN SAGAR 10th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

Mostly in all the NITs there is ews reservation.
As you have particularly mentioned the three states - Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, then here is the complete information.

In Maharashtra, the VNIT Nagpur has the ews reservation.
In karnataka, NIT Karnataka (also known as NIT Surathkal) also has ews reservation .

But in andhra pradesh if you opt for NIT Andhra Pradesh then it is one of the few NITs in which there is no  EWS category reservation .

Apart from nit andhra pradesh the nits in which there is no ews category reservation are :-

Nit sikkim
nit Meghalaya
nit manipur
nit mizoram
nit arunachal pradesh
nit puducherry
nit Nagaland
nit goa
nit delhi

So, all the other nits (excluding these 10 nits), have ews category reservation.

Can I get any iit in 4000 ews rank in jee advance 2020....considering the effect of 10 percent ews reservation this year?

Naman Raturi 10th Oct, 2020

Hello There ,

According to your rank , it would be tough getting into iit's , however you can go for counselling , you might get a lower branch in the last rounds . However you can try for other colleges that offer admission on the basis of JEE Advanced .

JEE Advanced score can be used to take admission to many colleges other than IIT which are these -

1)IISC Bangalore

2)IISER

3)IIST Thiruvananthapuram

4)RGIPT

5)IIPE

These are all national level research institutes and all are institute of national importance so you can try for them also to get admission .

did I get private A category ( conveyor) mbbs colleges with 480 marks.my domicile ap and have EWS reservation .please mention about fee structure also.list of colleges

Swetha N 8th Oct, 2020
Hello Harsha,

According to last year, with 480 marks your all india rank would range between 61000-62000.Last year, the cut off for OC with EWS reservation in AP was below AIR 45000 in all colleges but in Siddhartha Medical college it was AIR 1.88 lakhs(but this was with additional reservation for OU students considering them as non locals). If you belong to AU or SVU areas then your cut off would be below 45 k. But the cut off keeps changing every year so we cannot predict any thing surely.

For fee details, you can use the below link

Yes, EWS reservation policy is applicable in every admission in colleges  qualifying through EAMCET exam.

Although the reservation policy depends upon the respective States policy for reservation yet e w s candidates enjoy reservation of 10% in engineering and other government colleges who have qualified  through EAMCET and belong to EWS category.

Is the EWS reservation increased to 10% in this year 2020 in JoSAA counseling...pls answer

Ayush Pandey 4th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Last year, not all colleges were able to increase the EWS seats, though it was announced that 10% seats will be reserved for EWS category.

As per your question,EWS reservation is already 10%, so it is not going to increase, but since some of the colleges were not able to increase seats last year, they could increase this year.

Is their Ews reservation in Ts eamcet counseling ?

SRINITYA 1st Oct, 2020

Hello student,

Yes there will be ews reservation during Ts eamcet couselling. If you get a rank below 10,000 in ts eamcet you can even get free seat. if your rank is greater than 10,000 , then you need to pay RS. 35,000 as fees+ hostel fees if you avail college hostel. While compared to other category (oc ) students with greater income, you will get more preference during counselling.
