EWS reservation
Dear Aspirant,
The state government had issued a statement stating that Maratha community that is candidates of Maharashtra having SEBC certificate would not be eligible to avail benefits under 10% economically weaker section.
In the circular issued by general administration department it was stated that the Maratha community have been given reservation under socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC) category, so its members will not be able to avail benefits through 10% reservation under EWS for jobs and admission in educational institution.
Hope you got your answer.
Thank you
Hi aspirant,
You asked if you get the mbbs seat in SVU Tirupati with 525 marks in neet or not.
For government colleges minimum marks required in neet is around 520+. The cut off rank for SV University for mbbs is around 10000 for general catagory.
So, probably, you can't get a seat here.
Here are the neet rank & college predictor tools for your help:

With a score of 525, your rank might be approximately between 32796-37464 . This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank . With this score, you have decent chances for a seat in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. It is going to be extremely difficult for you to get a government medical college. The number of seats for mbbs in Kerala in government medical colleges is extremely limited with respect to the number of applicants. It is so limited that it pales in comparison to the number of applicants. The total number of medical seats is only 1555. Furthermore, another disappointing aspect of it is that the number of EWS seats is only 130 of the total number of government seats. So I hope you understand the gravity of the situation and the grave situation that you are in right now which is extremely detrimental for you. To have earned a seat under the ews category, you needed to score a rank less than 3000. Even then you needed to score a good ews rank as the number of ews seats are extremely limited.
However, you have great chances of getting admission in a private medical Institute with ease. There are like 2500 private medical seats that will be filled through KEAM rank holders. You can always apply for Management Quota seats as it will be extremely helpful for you as you have pretty high rank. Before joining any of the private institutes, make sure that you compare these colleges against each other in order to know for yourself which is a better college for you to pursue mbbs.

Hello student,
The EWS reservations is meant for the economically weaker sections of the society who are belonging to the open category. As per the sources there is a 10 percent reservation applied under this category in various fields. So my answer for your question is NO, there is no increment in the ews percentage not only this year but never.Reservations are fixed at once, and changes are not made often.
Hope this helps,
All the best.
