You have not mentioned any particular class or board but I'm assuming you are talking about boatd exams. If you have failed in only one subject then you can give compartment exams which will be held in a few months. You won't have to repeat the class in this

If a class 12 cbse board student having 6 subjects but unfortunately he/she got fail Or RT(repeat in theory) in 1 main sub eg. (maths) and now its maths is in under additional subject then the student is eligible for improment exam or compartment exam???? please help students.
