padhyeaditi99 7th Sep, 2020
Hi,
There is always possibility that colleges provide placement assistance to their students. .
Like, IIMs placement cell provide assistance, support and there are higher chances of getting selected by good companies.
But, there are some colleges which don't provide assistance.
I suggest you to read student testimonials from official website. You will have a clear picture of it.

Hi, My name is Vivek Kumar Pandey. I want to pursue Executive Mba. I live in kolkata. My academic scores are 10th- 73%, 12th- 82%, graduation in commerce- 51%.I have almost 4 years of work experience in TCS, currently in PWC, net salary is around 32000. Please advise where to take admission and how?

Sk Student Expert 1st Jul, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

The first point you need to consider is whether to be a regular college going student or hold your current position and acquire an MBA through distance learning.

If you want to be a regular student then you need to write either Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) applicable to West Bengal for admission to the colleges in W. Bengal OR write Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to the IIMs and every B School in India. CAT is much more difficult examination to tackle.

If you want to do distance learning at IGNOU – Indira Gandhi National Open University then you need to write IGNOU OPENMAT, which is their examination for their MBA programs.  If you want to hold onto your employment then taking this degree in the distance learning format is advisable and their distance learning degrees are now widely accepted.

So the first thing to do is choosing the examination you intend to take and start preparing for it while working.  Read about the good colleges in Kolkata and find out about their eligibility and then work towards achieving them.  Having a good working experience will allow you to evaluate them better and choose the course that suits your career.

Good Luck

How about executive MBA placements. is there something provided through Campus placement?

rajaman9300 Student Expert 9th Jun, 2020

First of all let me clarify you that There are two types of executive MBA's provided by IIM's.

First one is the course  with at least 5 years of work experience. This is a one-year full-time course, commonly known as PGPX. You can sit for placements in this course.

Second type refers to a part-time program for working professionals. This is a simultaneous program with the ongoing job and as a result of which candidates are usually not eligible for placements.

All the best!!

Can I do more than one Internship at the same time if I have been able to do it does it create any problem during my executive (MBA) placement.

Aastha jain 21st May, 2020

Hi

If you think you can manage 2 internships at the same time, without compromising work on any, I don't see any problem with it, in fact it will be an asset to your CV. During placement, you might be asked why you went for 2 internships, and related questions, and you should be ready with the answers. If they are satisfied, you are good to go!
