i got 64% in XII, 8cgpa in X. how much i need to score in CAT to get fms delhi.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 31st May, 2020
FMS Delhi usually has the highest cut offs for its 200 seat intake. The selection process includes 3 stage method. They are:

Eligibility Criteria
Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Final Selection

The basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation and 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The percentiles in CAT are considered for the further rounds. In 2018, the weightage given for various sections of CAT have been as follows:

QA: 30%

DILR: 30%

VARC: 40%

An additional 3 marks are added to the Composite score in case of women for shortlisting. This score is used only for shortlisting Candidates for Personal Interview. The weightage for Final selection is as follows:

Personal Interview: 15%

CAT score: 60%

Group Discussion: 10%

Extempore: 5%

10th marks: 5%

12th marks: 5%

An additional 3 marks of the maximum aggregate will be added to the women candidates who have attended the Interview. Now with all this process, the cut offs is an important issue to be discussed. Previously FMS used to consider overall CAT score for shortlisting. However since the past 2 years, FMS has been giving sectional preference and weightage. VARC occupies the top position with 40% weightage. A Candidate with at least 97 sectional weightage will be shortlisted at FMS. So it is important to focus more on VARC section while not leaving other sections. Higher cut offs are due to the intensity of the competition at FMS, Delhi. Their placements speak for themselves.

Can i get previous 10year FMS Delhi Cut-off for MBA in marks(out of 300) and percentile.

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 20th May, 2020
Hello Aspirant,

The CAT score vs percentile varies every year depending on difficulty of the paper and other factors. However, FMS delhi always have high cut off of nearly 98-99 percentile for general category candidates. The admission process is also based on past academic record, GDPI round etc.
You can check FMS cut off for previous year from following link:

fms delhi MBA fee with hostel and mess fee

rajaman9300 Student Expert 12th May, 2020

The annual Fees of FMS Delhi is only Rs 10,500 i.e 21,000 for 2 years (just 21K) that too for FMS.

Hostel and mess charges are around 12,000 per year which means another 24,000 for your Hostel and mess for 2 years.

Bonus: For the Initial Calling, CAT score has 100% weightage. So, if your previous academics are low then also no need to worry.

I failed in additional subject in class 12 but overall passed in class 12 so if I crack CAT exam than can I get admission in MBA college like fms IIM lucknow etc ? and right now Im in graduation with above 55 percent till 3rd semester

rajaman9300 Student Expert 9th May, 2020

No there won't be any problem until and unless you are applying for the course which you have failed in, i.e if you have failed in Biology (PCMB) then you can't apply for MBBS.

Coming to the CAT issue, let me tell that for the initial Calling in IIM L only 20% weightage is given to class 12th and Graduation remaining 80 is divided between CAT score(65%) and 15% (Work Exp.).

FMS Delhi gives CAT score a weightage of 95% or sometimes 100%

I have 96% in 10th 94 %in 12th and 7 3 cgpa in btech and around 18 months of work experience..how much do I need to score in CAT 2020 to get a call from IIMA/B /C or FMS ?

Prakarsh Kaushik 5th Apr, 2020

Hello,

For getting in top B-schools of India like IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C, FMS Delhi etc. you need good marks not only in in CAT but also in Class 10th, 12th and your graduation. If you have some work experience then it gives you more advantages.

There is no specific cutoff of percentile on which you can get into top IIMs. Since your marks in 10th, 12th is above 90% and in graduation above 7 CGPA with work experience, you can expect a call from IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C if you have at least 99 percentile in CAT .

For FMS also you should aim for 99+ percentile in CAT and also keep in mind that if you score 95+ percentile in VARC Section it will increase your chances of getting in.

Shiksha 4th Apr, 2020

Hello!

As per past years cut off ranks. Msu fms baroda cmat cut off closes at around 90 percentile.

In 2018, it was around 208 marks, it 2019 it was 265-270 marks that was around 90 percentile.

So, in 2020 also, if you have around 90 percentile and above it will be safe to convert the college.

If The Score Of 10th & 12th Is Not Good, Can I Get The Call From FMS Delhi....???? If My Graduation Score is Above 65% Can i Get The Call Form The Top Most Institutes Of Management...????

S. Saha Student Expert 28th Mar, 2020
The minimum percentile in CAT required to get a call from FMS, Delhi is around 99.3 percentile for general category candidate. 85% weightage is given to your CAT score. And rest is Personal Interview or Extempore. But at least an average marks like 50% marks in 10 and 12 is required. Certainly, students with good academic records and good communication skills will get advantage over other students.
