I got 43.62 percentile in Cat 10th - 10 CGPA 12th - 73% B.tech - 66.5% Can I get a call from FMS BHU

Nandini Gupta 31st Jan, 2019

Dear Harsh

I am so sorry to say this but this percentile is very low for getting admission in FMS BHU.

no doubt your 10th ,12th marks is too good.but Cat percentile is low.

but don't be so worried.you should try once more of CAT.as your past is too good.

so i advice you to prepare for CAT with a proper planning.there are many institute in india for CAT preparation like

  • IMS learning Centre
  • TIME
  • PT Education
  • Bulls Eyes
  • BYJU's CAT CLAsses

you should take admission in any one of the top institute and study with a proper planned way and full of concentration.

wish you all the very best

thank you

Please tell me minimum how many percentage in 10th and 12th for mba in IIM, FMS,xub, XLRI,JBIMS,NMIMS..

Veeralkumar Thakur 3rd May, 2019
Hey,

Management has major domains like Finance, Operations, Strategy, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resource and other minor domains.

Normally the MBA batches start during the month of June for every acedemic year with the CAT score valid for that year.

IIMs, FMS, XLRI do look for an epic track record of the students. CAT is one of the greatest filter for the old IIMs to filter out the best minds. The the AWT(Arithmetic Written Test)- WAT (Written Aptitude Test)- GD(Group Discussion) & a PI (Personal Interview) which actually makes IIMs choose the best from the best.

IIMs, especially the old ones, are India's premium institutes because of their great quality of education, faculty and infrastructure. The results are clearly seen from the students graduating from those colleges.

So if they are making brilliant managers, they require the best minds of India, hence the CAT which is a race against time and packed with negative marking scheme and tests endurance, accuracy and focus. So CAT becomes a major filter for IIMs to filter out the best minds and then filtering them even more by WAT/GD-PI process before admission.

It's about the whole track record and your performance at in CAT, XAT, MAH-CET. All the aspects have weightage for each of the B-schools differently.

Minimum of 75-80% are required in both 10th and 12th for getting into these B-schools.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Currently I am in first year btech student if 83 10th and 74 in 12th with 100 percentile in cat will I convert fms delhi please answer

Sreyashi Das 28th Jan, 2019

Hello. First of all you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for FMS Delhi which is you need to have a bachelors degree in any field with an aggregate of atleast 50% for general and 45% for reserved category students. Also final year students can apply provided they fulfill the criteria. Since you are currently in 1st year of B.Tech you oviously cannot apply for FMS Delhi now.

But if you study hard and score a percentile of 97+ in CAT you might get you a seat there.

For more details about cutoff, eligibility etc. check the below link.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
