Hi! You might get admitted late but you can secure a place. Dont lose hope, keep trying, keep yourself updated, make sure to keep checking for the spot/direct admissions which start after all the 3/4 merit lists are put up in the college itself.

Hi. I am from Bihar. And of cbse student got 80.2% in my 12th board exam. Am I (OBC category) eligible for admission in fergusson college.

Shweta Ray 30th May, 2019
Hey!

Fergusson College, Pune is a very reputed and prestigious college. It has a very good name in imparting Undergrad education in mostly Arts subjects but its other departments such as Commerce and science are decent too. However, regarding its being a highly esteemed college the cutoffs are extremely high and they don't even consider anything below 93-94%. They dont really have reservation seats but having domicile of Maharashtra certainly helps.

But don't be disheartened. You have good enough marks to convert various other equally good colleges like in the Delhi University. Try for them and you will definitely sail through.

Happy to help.

I got 82% in hsc boards and am eligible for Maharashtra quota can I get admission in Ferguson college for bsc biotechnology

Deepjyoti Roy 30th May, 2019
Hey Ricardo,

First of all you should know that Ferguson's is no more a government aided college. It's now autonomous. So you can join the college with management seats as well but you have to pay more for that.

If you are a local students i.e you're from Maharshtra then you have quite a chance to get a seat since for them the cut offs are generally low. But if you're an OMS that is out of Maharashtra student. Then it's pretty difficult. The cut offs are higher than 90% plus the seats for OMS are less as well.

I hope this helps you, good luck!
