There are numerous emergency instances when the crew have to swim or do physical things which MAY be quite difficult for the person. I would like to inform you that, the minimum eligibility criteria for pursuing air hostess is 10+2 from any recognised board. So, I would suggest you to complete your 10+2 further in order to pursue air hostess course.

You can apply for air hostess academy after your 10+2 in order to complete your training.

The qualifications required are :

Minimum educational qualification required - 10+2 passed in any stream from a recognized board.

Age limit - 18 to 25 years of age. It may vary from one airline to another.

Physical and Medical standards –

- Minimum height requirement is 157 cm (for females) and 170 cm (for males). This requirement may differ from one airline to another.

- Weight of the candidate should be in proportion to his/her weight.

- Spotless skin complexion will give candidates an edge.

- Candidate has to be physically fit.

- Eyesight requirements- minimum eyesight requirement is 6/9. Many airlines    allow candidates to correct eyesight and make it 20/20!

- Candidate shouldn’t have had history of mental illness in the past.

- Candidate should not be suffering from serious Cardiovascular disease.

If you hold a higher qualification (like Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree), you are still eligible to apply for this job.

For become Air hostess, you can join any cabin crew training institute situated nearby your place. They will provide you proper training for that and also send you for interviews.

You yourself can also apply for interviews without any institute interference by applying directly on official websites of flight companies, but for that you need to check regularly for vacancies available.

I'll suggest you to join a reputed institution and get training for a easy and a better way to your goals.

To become a pilot, you must have studied Physics and Mathematics in 10+2.

If you wish to become a commercial pilot, you should check for some of the flying schools and their websites. IGRUA, NFTI,  Bombay flying club are decent ones.
For selecting the candidates, the schools may conduct written entrance examination, pilot Aptitude test, interview.

You must also have good communication skills and aeronautical knowlege.
