Food Technology is actually science branch that deals with the techniques involved in the production and processing, preservation, packaging, labeling, quality management, and distribution of food products. Students can opted to pursue a degree, diploma or doctorate programme in food technology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the institutions. To pursue the course at UG level candidates should clear Class 12 th in Science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Home Science and minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by a university/ college (usually 50% - 60%). To pursue a food technology course at PG level candidates should possess a BSc (in Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry) or BTech/ BE (in food technology) degree with the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed a university/ college.

So, Let it be clear if your PG and UG subject domain are not the same you would be facing numerous hurdle later in life, particularly if you take up an academic career.
However, from BSc in Food technology, if you get an opportunity to go in for MSc in Food biotechnology and not Biotechnology, that would make good sense.

You can definitely take admission to B.Tech Food Technology based on TS EAMCET score in the participating colleges on Telangana. Candidates opting for TS EAMCET Agriculture and Medicine Stream can apply for admission in to following courses if they qualify in TS EAMCET and fulfill the eligibility criteria

Yes dear, if you are Food Technology you can apply for the post of Agricultural Officer. Since the basic qualification for an Agricultural Officer is to have profound knowledge on food production. In your Graduation level you will be getting subjects related to food production and Technology. So if Agriculture Officer is your career of choice then you can proceed with that.

If you have passed 12th then it means that you have learn enough in 12th so that you couldn't face any difficulty in BTech. If you have taken CSE, then you could face little diffculty in Coding but you have taken Food Technology, this branch doesn't require any special skills. You won't feel any such diffculty in this branch.
