Good to hear from you. As per the previous years' trends in the cut-off, it can be said that you have secured great marks. As most of the colleges in India have a cut-off close to 85%, your mark might land you in a Govt. college. But, you can try for private colleges too.
All the best.
thankyou
Hey aspirant,
Yes you have high chances of getting admission in Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University - [ACT], Chennai for B.Tech in Food Technology.
Last year's cut off (closing rank) for General Category was 4506 and that of OBC category was 6076. As you have ranked much lesser than these closing ranks your chances of admission in both the categories are quite high.
The cut offs may vary this year due to changes in the number of candidates appearing in the entrance, number of candidates qualifying in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, etc.
If you would like to fetch any details on TANCET 2020 you can read this article :-

All the best!
It is a good college no doubt. It has a good placement records for almost all streams except leather and bio technology. In food technology it has got a bad infrastructure facilities like labs and classes. But faculty members are good and experienced. If your performace in college is good then you can easily get a placementat the end for food technology.
However placement records for oil technology is not so good .The placement percentage is about 42% .Faculty is not so good with labs need to be more equipped and modern. So I would not recommend you to join this course in this college.
You can go for food technology as you have a brighter future prospects and the colleges offer you a good percentage of placements for food technology.
