What is the criteria for branch upgradation in hbtu? If I want to upgrade my branch from food technology to computer science in 2nd sem or 3rd sem, what all will I have to do?

Parmeshwar Suhag 15th Nov, 2020

Dear Student,

You can easily upgrade your branch from Food technology to Computer Science in HBTU, Kanpur. All you need to do is that you have to take very good marks/grades in your 1st and 2nd semester or in your overall 1st year. You have to come in top students of 1st year. And not only getting these good marks is essential . There must be some vacant seats in CSE branch after 1st year. Only then you can upgrade your branch. Both these two things are essential for upgradation.

Hope this helps.

Shruti Smaranika 23rd Dec, 2020

Hello aspirant,

As per your category, you have indeed scored a good rank in AP PGECET 2020. So, yes you may be eligible to secure a seat in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada in order to pursue food technology. Also, you have managed to secure more than the minimum qualifying cutoff according to the category cutoff. So chances are there you'd be getting an admission. Still wait for the cutoff results and check whether you've managed to pass or not. Accordingly, you'll get admission in the institute.

Hope, this answer helps you.

which msc is better after bsc chemistry.msc drug chemistry or msc food technology

Arpita 12th Nov, 2020
Dear student

In Msc drug chemistry  the main focus of the programme is the exploration of new drugs from their conception in the laboratory to their application and testing and subsequent industrial production. You will be trained in the advanced and current art of analytical, organic and drug chemistry and develop the skills of research methodologies, critical evaluation, problem recognition and problem solving in the drug science. You can also go for Health sector.

In Msc food technology also has very good scope in research as well as in job prospects.  But in jobs, it will only be restricted upto food based companies and its field. Whereas in drug chemistry you have a good scope in other areas as compared to food technology.
