If you want be the English teacher and also want to teach the foreign language, then the first step of becoming a teacher is to get a B.Ed degree. It is the foremost requirement if you want to be the teacher. Do an undergraduate course with English being one of your subject and also get a certified course in the foreign language of your choice. Clear the adequate levels for being the teacher of that language, then you will be eligible to teach in both the languages. There are various options for learning foreign language, you can opt for french, spanish or the Chinese, they have better job opportunities.

If we talk about nowadys then English is the most using language in India for official work , then German , Spanish and French .Further for career prospect Chinese ,Korean and Japenese are on the top .
Beside this if we talk about starting package of salary then 4-6 lac are for french and for german 3-5 lac ,further your experience level will let you earn more than this .

Placement details of JNU :
As such there is no any regular officially functional placement cell in JNU for foreign language students.very few of the private companies occasionally visit here for the recruitment process. yes this is true that through the web portal named SLL&CS a quasi-offcial website where updates regarding some job openings are announced,where most of them are JNU alumni or presently studying in JNU itself and working together.
According to some placement data there is 6.3lakh per annum salary package.
Career options after doing B.A(hons.) in foreign language.
1.- Career in MNCs like TCS,American Express, Oracle,GOOGLE,GENPACT etc as a translator ,interpreter, bilingual customer care representative etc.
2.- Career in tourism sector like flight stewards, cruise stewards, licensed govt. guide for international tourists, in hospitality department of renowned hotels etc.
