B.Sc in Forensic Science is a three-year undergraduate program which offers the study of scientific applications and knowledge that helps in the investigation of crimes.

The admission to B.Sc Forensic Science course is done in two ways:

Merit-Based: The merit-based admission to the course is done directly on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination. Some colleges also prepare a cutoff list based on the qualifying examination for admission.

Entrance Based: The entrance based admission to the course is done on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in a national level, state level or college level entrance exams. The admission is done through the counselling process.

Students are granted admission based on the score obtained in the entrance exams or qualifying exam. Dates of some universities are as follows.

• JET 2020 : The Jain Entrance Exam is conducted by the Jain University, Bangalore for admission into various UG and PG courses offered by the institute.

• LPUNEST 2020 : The entrance exam conducted by the LPU for various courses in the month of June.

• SUAT 2020: SUAT is a common aptitude test conducted by the Sharda University for admission into various courses offered by them. The exam will be held in the month of June.

• IUET 2020: IUET is a common entrance exam conducted by the Integral University for admission into various courses offered by them.

BSc Forensic Science is a course having duration of 3 years. Admission in this course is offered generally on the basis of entrances (such as such a JEE, Amity JEE and any other state level Entrance exam), but few colleges also have the facility of merit-based admission. These colleges are:

The eligibilty criteria are as follows:

1. The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
2. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and/or Maths as main subjects in 10+2.
3. They should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in 10+2. Some of the institutes offer some relaxation to the reserved categories.

Bachelor of Science in forensic science is a demanding undergraduate course whichis of total 3 years. There are very few forensic science government colleges in India. However all of this colleges provide admission with the merit marks of 10 + 2 level. You must should have chemistry biology and English to be eligible for this course. The average cutoff can be between 70-90%.
