what was the cutoff for last year ms general surgery. what is MNG seats in m s ramaiah?

Mayank Chowdhary 9th Jul, 2020

The cutoff last year was 522 marks equivalent to an ALL INDIA QUOTA rank of 14060. Having said this cutoffs keep changing from year to year as they depend on various factors like number of candidates, paper level difficulty, etc.

MNG seats means management quota seats. Some seats are reserved by the management and they charge heavily for those seats. It is almost triple or quadraple times the normal fees. And the cutoff is pretty low comparatively through the MNG quota.

Best wishes. Thank you.

Mibin Mathew Mammen 14th May, 2020

Dear Anand,

Thank you for your query. I would like to say in the outset that it's your choice to determine whether the Command Air Force Hospital course on Ms General Surgery is perfect for you or not. But I will try to give you a glimpse of the course and the hospital so that you can make an informed choice.

MS General Surgery course is one of the most demanded course in the Command Hospital. The course has one intake every year and is conducted full time. All students are eligible to study the course but the priority is given to students from an army background or has their parents who have or is working in the Army. Hello there,

DNB general surgery at KMCH Coimbatore is really good.Plus Geneal surgery is a very good subject. KMCH mainly deals with the practicals more than the theory part which is clearly a advantage because for surgeons practice is what is needed.

I was allotted ms. general surgery in aiq round2 in santosh medical college and hospital, ghaziabad..... I want to know how was the surgery branch there nd how much possibility of hands on for surgeries nd patients flow... what kind of surgeries they perform...

Sk Student Expert 16th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

If the rank of AIMS at 9/10 then Santosh will mark in around 6/10. That should give you an idea but that does not necessarily make it a lessor choice, since Santosh is a private hospital catering to a different segment of society. It is a 600 bed hospital. Generally in private hospitals the number of surgeries is definitely a lot less than government hospitals which cater to the masses and hence your first hand engagement will be lower.

Having said that Santhosh deals with , General Surgery, Neurosurgery, E.N.T. Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics and Cardio-vascular Surgery as related to General Surgery.  So to gain experience nothing like working in a Government Hospital for a few years to hone your skills.

Good Luck
