Samyak Jain 25th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

With 92.22 percentile in JEE Main , your expected General rank is roughly around 75k–85k .

At this rank, getting B.Tech at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur is very difficult because most branches there close at much lower ranks.

You should instead target:

Need honest guidance regarding NFSC Nagpur B.Tech Fire Engineering admission. My JEE Main CRL rank is 1,22,747 (General category). Previous NFSC closing rank reportedly went around 1.37 lakh, but in Round-1 medical/document verification lists, most candidates seem below ~1.04 lakh. So how does NFSC

Samyak Jain 26th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,
At a JEE Main CRL rank of 1,22,747, your admission chances for NFSC Nagpur are highly promising. The seemingly contradictory cutoff trends are due to NFSC's unique multi-stage admission process, heavily skewed ratios for medical scrutiny, and the specific application-based counseling model.

But after going to SDO office i came to know that i belong to creamy layer, so what should i do now ? will my seat be rejected or will i get a general seat as per my general rank ?

Devika Malik 22nd May, 2026

Hi,

If you can’t submit a valid OBC-NCL certificate, then usually your category benefit just gets removed and you’ll be shifted to the General/CRL category. Your application generally does not get cancelled completely.

But don’t upload any incorrect or fake NCL certificate that can create serious problems and may even

im general oc student from andhrapradesh,if i got 550 marks can i get seat in any govt clg or A category seat in private clg

Devika Malik 21st May, 2026

Hi,
