Is it worth doing a dual degree at BITS Goa/Hyderabad? What are requirements to get core branch after taking Dual Degree?

Ria Bafna 2nd Jan, 2022

Hey aspirant

It's a fantastic opportunity for students because it allows them to spend the first year of college studying common subjects with other single-degree students. They have the opportunity to pursue their interests for the entire year, and then, before the second year begins, an engineering degree is assigned to them based on the preferences they submitted at the end of the first year.

Many students use this to get a CS dual degree from one of India's most prestigious colleges.

Interdisciplinary combinations such as Eco+CS, Phy+CS, and Bio+Chemical. Phy+Mechanical, for example, are well structured to provide students with enhanced research opportunities and to allow them to complete double majors in 5 years. This looks good on your resume, especially if you want to move on with ms/phd .

can i have any chance to get GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE BAMBOLIN through AIQ . My mark is 451 obc AIR 130000 and OBC NCL 58000.... pls tell

pdwords Student Expert 30th Dec, 2021

Hello,

It's difficult to secure Goa Medical College, or for that matter any GMCs through AIQ if we go through last year data, as cut-offs are on higher side, generally speaking the cut-offs for AIQ are comparatively higher to that of state quota,

You may have chances for following deemed universities through AIQ:

  • Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar
  • Institute of Medical Sciences and SUMH, Bhubaneswar
  • M.M. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Mullana
  • Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, KLEU, Belagavi
  • Yenepoya Manglaore
  • Sri Siddhartha Medical College DU, Tumkur
  • BLDE University, Bijapur

however, this is completely based on previous year data, cut-offs are subjected to alter every year based on various factors such as

  • total number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • difficulty level of the paper
  • top NEET scores
  • reservation
  • seat matrix, etc..

Hello,

As per your information about your acedmics, 85% in 10th, 75% in 12th, 58%in graduation and with no work ex, there are fair chances for you to get IMI Delhi as the cutoff for last year was 90 percentile, IMT Ghaziabad as the last year cutoff was around 90 percentile, Goa Institute of Management as the cutoff was around between 85 to 90 percentile but there are less chances for you to get SBIM PUNE as the cutoff for this college is very high through SNAP which is above 95 percentile.
