My father has a obc certificate of karnataka And I hv answered neet in goa so can I take admission in karnataka goverment mbbs college in obc quota

pushpachoudhary7413 12th Sep, 2021
Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing well
Well it totally depends on the fact that you have obc certificate of Karnataka or not as your father's certificate won't be counted at all.

If you have filled your category as an obc candidate from Karnataka and you have the certificate then it doesn't matter where have you given the exam , only what you filled and what you have matters.

The certificate should be on your name , then only you can get the benefits of an obc candidate from Karnataka.

Here's a link from which you can check the criteria for reservation

can i get into nit goa with 60 percentile (ST category)

Anurag Khanna 30th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 409200 - 460000 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing ST rank for NIT Goa was :-

  • Civil Engineering branch - 23479 (Home state quota)
  • Civil Engineering branch - 1791(Other state quota)

And your ST rank is expected to be around 20,000

So you have very less chances to get NIT Goa with any of the branches even if you have Home state quota.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

Based on the 1st iteration round of BITS 2021, probably I will get M.Sc Economic in Pilani campus or B.Tech EEE in Goa campus. which one is better option for future scope?

Abhishek Roy 29th Aug, 2021

Ideally, if you take M.Sc. Economics now at BITS Pilani Campus and are able to convert into BE CSE or EEE, the following year with Dual Degree in Economics, thats a win-win situation. If youre Academically strong and confident, as well as Pilani is in Vicinity of your Hometown, or youre anywhere from the Central/Northern Part of India, prefer BITS Pilani. Otherwise, incase youre good to go with EEE, BITS Goa Electrical is a Nice Option with Good Placements, youll even end up saving a year.

Is it possible to get BE Chemical in BITS Goa or Hyderabad with 247 marks in BITSAT? If so, in what iteration?

Abhishek Roy 28th Aug, 2021

Yeah, though low, but chances are still there for you to secure BITS Goa Chemical with 247. Last Year, Last Iteration Cutoff for BITS Goa Chemical was 248. Hence you may need to wait till atleast 3rd Iteration. Other Good Options maybe, Civil/Chemical at BITS Hyderabad, Manufacturing at BITS Pilani (253 Lat Year Cutoff) or maybe M.Sc Chemistry at BITS Goa or Hyderabad.
