Percentile means that you have performed better than that percent student. For eg if you have got 98percentile that means your score is better than 98%students. 

For Pecentage it is the average of the marks you got in all subject.

By the time you would have applied for the GIM application form, the CAT/XAT results weren't out. But you must have provided the registration number for the exam you want to apply with. So, now you don't need to update any scores. Your scorecard has already been checked
