See ur marks are well above the cut off score as compared to the previous year cut offs but this time due to the ease in paper the cut off might go high but still u will make.

yes,there are more chances for you to getting into PSU.but the cut-off value/qualifying score needed for PSU's may vary with different psu's.but if you score 65,then you'll have more chances on PSU's recruitment(since your category is ST).please refer the following links:

See u r from the branch which is having the most no of the applicants for GATE exam. And ur marks are just enough to qualify the exam . It is not sufficient to support u to get admissioned in good colleges for pursuing ur further studies.

The final selection into the IIT's or NIT's completely depends on the GATE score and category also matters a lot.

As you are scoring 36,It is not sufficient to get into NIT's.However you need to improve the score.

According to last year cut off for IIT ROORKEE  in Gate Architecture is 47.58 marks in general,44.06 for obc,32.05 for sc and 32.55 for st.

Cutt off may be slightly increased or decreased by some factors like difficulties of papers, the number of students participate in counseling/exam.
