Since you are in your second year, I would not advise you to stress yourself over GATE preparation. However, if you want to prepare, start with your present syllabus, then move ahead.

I am not exactly sure what the problem is. If you you not yet submitted the application form, you should be able to make the correction. But if you are not able to make any correction, it may mean you have paid the application fee and submitted it.

There is no option to fill M.Tech in the application, as GATE is also the entrance for admission to various post graduate programmes inclufding MTech.
You need to fill in details of your UG ie., BE/BTech only since that is the minimum required qualification.
