You should currently prepare for semester exams an dstart preparation for GaTe in Third Year that is 5th semester onwards so that you have 2years preparatiin time.

You can have enough time for mock examas and revision thereafter.

You need to do balancing act as you also need good score

For mechanical the standard notes for coaching will be available on many sites in pdf format by top institutes as well also you can refer postal study course for other institutes for gate and you can even self prepare by them thats more better option.
