if you appeared in last year then you will appear in GATE exam if you appeared before that, that will not be considered. first of all in 3rd year, hoe you get your provisional certificate. HOD will not allow.
but anyway, your score would not consider.

For any entrance exam,you should be aware of the syllabus and within the syllabus you should point out those topics which are important and has been asked frequently.
Study every topic deeply and make sure that you do different varieties of questions regarding that topic so basically practice as

You can apply for PG courses with valid GATE score in colleges of Karnataka.
Al most all colleges accept GATE scores. You can apply through online or direct consultation with the college.
