The paper 1 was comparatively easier than the paper 2 of the gate civil Engineering 2018. However,the exam you find easier, largely depends on your preparation.

It is not easy to correctly predict the rank based on your score, as every year the trends change. For example, if the question paper is easy, even if you score higher, you might be ranked lower, and vice versa.
