Hi Sajida,
When any volcano erupts, the lava comes out from within the earth which is actually a form of rocks molten by the enormous heat and pressure within the Earth's surface. When this lava comes out on the surface of the earth, it solidifies again after some time due to its cooling. This process of lava changing from its molten to solid state leading to the formation of rocks, is called solidifaction of lava.
