Hi, Assuming you are from general category, you are almost near the borderline and therefore you have chances of admission in lower NIT's.
You can even check your chances through GATE college predictor of IITs/NIT's and even PSU.

No....mechanical cutoff is too high not like other branch..if you score 70+ then you have some chance to get PSU call or under 300 rank in general category...and it's also depend on the number pf vacancy available in that year GATE..
