without GATE 2017 how one can go for M. Tech

You can try for private universities like BITS, VIT & etc. They conduct their own entrance, you can try for them but according to me students should go for Gate as it gives benefit to do higher studies and it also opens the door for PSUs as well.

As there is no such particular BARC syllabus, it is almost same as Gate so you can practice as per Gate syllabus only. And Gate online mocks will be working for the same and BARC questions asked only from technical specific subjects including mathematics and there will be no questions
