Congrats! on getting air 460 in gate cse 2020. The gate score cutoff in IITG generally is around 770 every year, which I think make your admission chance a little hard in Mtech CS course. About data science course. It is a very new course, it is an interdisciplinary course(offered by cse, ee, mathematics department of IITG) offered by IITG. It is started in 2019 itself. As of now there is negligible existence of its cutoff and IITG don't release cutoff officially. But most of the candidates will be choosing M.Tech CSE because it is not a new branch and offered by only core cse department. You may get into Mtech data science IITG, because its cutoff will be around 750, so you have chance of getting this branch.
